Question: I have an English Learner in my mainstream class. He/she doesn’t understand what I’m teaching. No one else in class speaks his/her language. What do I do?
Answer: The key is to make your input comprehensible to the English Language Learner (Krashen). GLAD, SIOP or any of the other bazillion trainings for ELLs will tell you that visuals can help. I created a video to demonstrate how much of a difference visual aides can make.
Any other suggestions?
