Who makes Cura?
The slicer converts the 3D model into a G-code file that will provide the 3D printer with all the necessary instructions for printing. Cura is a slicing software developed by David Braam in 2014 for this purpose – it was later acquired by Ultimaker.
Where did the idea of 3D printing come from?
The first documented iterations of 3D printing can be traced back to the early 1980s in Japan. In 1981, Hideo Kodama was trying to find a way to develop a rapid prototyping system. How to choose the origin of the printer?
I have exactly the settings in this thing as you showed in your screenshot. This works fine, the objects are placed in the middle of the bed. But the gcode createt with slicing is created thinking, that the printer hast its origin in the mid of the bed, so it has positive and negative X- and Y-coordinates.
